I watched the show tonite. I found it very interesting yet nothing i hadnt thought of myself. The one thing that really stood out to me was that mostly all of the "prophets" agreed that we have diminishing resources and are over populated. Toward the end of the show when they were discussing solutions, relocalizing our food resources and economy were the main topic. I dont understand why people refuse to discuss lowering the population, is this really so bad? I dont mean forcing people not to have children or forced abortions..i just mean encouraging people not to have 5-10 kids. Instead of giving people a tax credit for every child, how about a tax credit every year for not having one! encourage your own children..for the sake of our future to only have one child maybe 2 during thier life span, i dont agree with chinas tactics and im not a communist! I just forsee this being the only way to save our resources, its not discontinuing human life..in fact it will lead to human continuity by preserving our prescious resources. Im sure there are a few of the religious right out there would probably want to burn me at the stake for suggesting such a thing but i would like to see anyone come up with a better solution..either we do it volentarily or mother nature will eventually do it for us!!
