MAJOR MAGNETOSPHERE DOOM!! HUGE SPIKE IN DENSITY OF THE SOLAR WIND!!!!!!!!1

To quell some fear, about the magnetosphere.

Now Since it got pinned I have to update it. sheesh.

This is from yesterday, There have been questions and a lot of answers to them along with more information during posts throughout the thread, I plead with you to read through it all.

First let me remind you that nict is just a computer generated simulation on the magnetosphere and does not show the actual magnetosphere and is not in 3D.

As we can see there has been a density spike.

The actual readings can be seen here: [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] As Nict take their data from the ACE satellite.

Now 50.2 is still quite moderate, especially considering the following;

The magnetic strength of the solar wind is weak as seen on the BzNT and the ByNT graphs on nict.

The velocity is still low.

This means that the storm strength is still low Kp3-4

So yeah.. no DOOM, sorry guys/gals.

I could go into lots of things and wanted to keep this short. Any questions?
