Ok boys and girls below is the information and link to the technical description to the type of explosive the British police claim the terrorists used on 7/7/05 , which is known as TATP or TCAP.
Note this compound is extremely unstable and susceptible to explosion from SHOCK.
Question. If the British authorities believe this is the type of explosive used, what are they doing CHASING and TACKLING an alleged terrorist that may be carrying this explosive?

Acetone peroxide (triacetone triperoxide, peroxyacetone, TATP, TCAP) is an organic peroxide. It is a high explosive that can be made from common household items: acetone, hydrogen peroxide, and sulfuric acid. Other strong acids such as hydrochloric acid may also be used as a catalyst. Since its precursors are readily available, it is commonly used by amateur chemists and explosive makers, often for detonators, and is sometimes found in improvised explosive devices. It takes the form of a white crystalline powder with a distinctive acrid smell.
It is highly heat, friction, and shock sensitive. Professional chemists have been injured attempting to use it. Once manufactured the material can degrade during storage, becoming less likely to explode.
Acetone peroxide was discovered in 1895 by R. Wolffenstein (Chemische Berichte 28, 2265 (1895)). Information about it including the relative proportions of monomer, dimer, and trimer is also available in the Journal of the American Chemical Society 81, 6261 (1959). Other sources include crystal structure and 3d analysis in "The Chemistry of Peroxides" edited by Saul Patai (pp. 3967), as well as the "Textbook of Practical Organic Chemistry" by Vogel.

People get shot by the cops for that shit all the time. Practically everyday. It really is in everyones best interest to listen to what a cop is saying if he is pointing a firearm at you. Donīt know what the laws are in your country pal, but here in the states you donīt cap someone because they "might" do something, unless you are catching them directly in the act. On any given day I am packing a .45 cal commander, and a hammerless .357 in my boot. I was qualified expert at age 12 with a pistol punk, and competed in the US National Championships shooting 22 rifle by the time I was 14.

#485 - the police arenīt saying why the bombs didnīt go off, though that is one possible explaination. They certainly wouldnīt want to go telling the bombers that they connected the wires wrong, and give them free bomb making lessons :)
