Anonymous Coward User ID: 1235732 Germany 01/19/2011 11:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So how do we protect ourselves? Would you suggest buying actual gold bullion? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1191693He says people would rush to buy bonds... Gold "may" do ok and silver hammered. So says he. Maybe only during this phase, though. I find this plan quite unlikely, anyway. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1191693 United States 01/19/2011 11:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gold is has been at an all time high for a while now. If the USD is really set to fail, even at $1,300 an ounce, gold still sounds like a sound investment. If the dollar is worth nothing by the end of the month, people who invested in gold (actual bars) would have something to barter if the (economical) shit actually hits the fan. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1191693The all time high in gold, adjusted for inflation, is around $2,200. We´re far off from it. The situation now is favorable for gold because real interest rates, net of inflation, are low or negative. The world population is at an all time high and people with wealth to protect have also increased significantly. At the same time, ETFs make investing in gold available to everyone. Now stocks are likely to be under pressure, as interest rates and commodities rise, while disposable income in the West contracts. Increasing interest rates also make bonds and real estate unattractive. The Chinese are starting to buy gold and silver, as ETFs are being introduced. As the Chinese worry about stocks and apartment prices, it´s likely they´ll start buying gold and silver. Gold has been going up for years, even when no catastrophes were imminent. Should it start falling now, when money printing is rampant and inflation is already starting? I think not. George Soros, Marc Faber and Jim Rogers have positions in gold. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1235732 Germany 01/20/2011 12:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | DOW will hit 12500 before theres any significant pullback. Will be above 14000 regardless by 2015. Any pullback is a buying opp. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1106154The more money they print, the higher the market will go. In general, real assets should do better than stocks, though. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1235732 Germany 01/20/2011 12:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay...how much will the Dow crash? What do you consider a crash? 10%? 30%? 60%? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1185535Thank you! 10 or 20% can happen. But if they print money, it´s unlikely that prices will remain depressed for long. If you buy individual stocks, instead of index funds, it depends on what exactly you´re buying, of course. That could be much better or much worse than the market. |

My information is correct and is being proved in the market. I dont have much more to say. I will say one more thing however, and if the wrong people are reading this (unlikely - but possible - I could lose my "job"). SPECULATION is that the fed is going to increase the discount rate. Note: I did not say they WILL increase the discount rate, but the speculation is that they will and this is how they will bring the market down initially. That information is so specific that once it comes to light (next week) you will know the information I possess is legitimate (if you're still a non believer). BTW: The reason I am doing this is because I want to establish a history with you crazy mob (meant in the nicest possible way) so that when I announce the real piece of information people will know that I am speaking the truth. Telling you exactly how the markets will move and why is just a gimmick to me, I have more information that will affect the lives of millions... I can't announce it anonymously until people understand I have information the average joe doesnt. BS flag me all you like, but next week those poles will be rammed up your proverbial. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1185535And any hints on the other news? Financial stuff I assume? Or not? :) A crash is considered 15% but predicting a price target is 100% impossible. Anyone saying they can is having you on. The market is took big to calculate, extrapolate or predicate. Btw: It wont happen in one day - or even one week... but from the top (which is now in by the way, 11880 was the top) it will be at least a 15% move before any significant retracement. |
