I agree with concealed carry. I believe in the right to own a gun and protect myself. But Joe would be in a world of crap magnified by the national spotlight if he'd used his gun.

Concealed carry permit does not allow a person to protect anyone other than themselves and their family. And if they do anything that can be construed as an offensive (not defensive) action negates their legal defense of 'self-defense'. Even calling a name or any agravating action kills the self defense option.

Read concealed carry (CCW) laws in various states. Talk to a lawyer. Never volunteer to be a hero with your gun
