Does anyone else feel like they're not human?
I've felt this all my life: that I am not from here. But I've been here a long, long time, too. I'm an old soul, and maybe more than that. I don't know why I am here, now, at this time, but I think it may be to observe what's happening now. And what's happening now sickens me.

I've been around so many times as a human being (thousands of times, I suspect) but I still haven't figured out how to be a human being. I have never found my niche, and I have never been able to really understand how human beings operate. The cruelty and ruthlessness, the total indifference to the experience of others, just staggers me. I see a lot of it on this board. I am blessed that most of the people I know personally are not at all like that.

Is there anyone else out there in GLP land who can relate to this? Anyone who can cast some light on where I come from and what I am supposed to be doing, here and now? I feel as though I've forgotten something really important.

Thanks... gods, just read my post and I sound so stuffy... I don't mean to but I am a word geek. Part of my human problem I guess.

I just feel like I'm walking around disguised as something I'm not.

I can relate. I've never felt as tho I belong here. I have very few close friends... in fact the only person I have a deep connection to, is my mother.

Already as a very young child, i would lay gazing up in the night sky, wanting to fly out there. I relate more to the spiritual side of life than the physical.

Me too. I am happiest away from other people, even though I get lonely when I'm isolated for too long.

I lived on my mother's property for 4 years with no electricity. She was on the property, but not real close by. It was sometimes miserable, but when I'd sit out on the deck and look out at the stars... I know what you mean.

I am so looking forward to going back out to my mother's country property and being away from my boyfriend for a weekend. I love him and I miss him when we're apart, but I need to be alone too -- not just for an hour but for a day or two at least, or I go crazy. I look around and I see so little to connect to that I wonder what I'm doing here. I feel I have a purpose, but I don't know what it is.

we DON'T belong here! we are universal energy trapped in a holographic world illusion, through all things material. once enough of us realize our divinity, the true nature of who we are, which is just universal spirit, only THEN will all the anguish and torment of this worldly existence end

but it CAN and more than likely WILL happen. we will be freed from this physical plane to experience consciousness and life force as we were truly intended to

Yes, I agree. I don't know if I believe in demons per se, but I believe people can become possessed by their own shadows to the point that they might as well be demons. It can happen briefly, like temporary insanity, and I think this happens to most people at least a few times in their lives, or it can happen so it takes over completely.

I am happy to see that I am not alone in that situation. Same for me. Can't stand other peoples. Living alone in the wood and happy like that. I am waiting for something but don't know what. Like you I always look at the sky waiting for???? I am an herborist and with the time I figure that my work will be to schooling peoples when the time will come. Okay, so, what am I doing here? What is my purpose here? Often I think I'm deluding myself in feeling I have one, but the feeling is so deep that I can't rid myself of it, or of the feeling that I'm failing it somehow. What am I supposed to be doing here? Am I just here to observe the end of the world? I love this planet with all its cruelties and strangeness and it breaks my heart to see what's happening to it now. I feel like I'm at the deathbed of a lover. I think I've been here from the beginning of human society and maybe I'm here to see the end of it, or am I just being melodramatic?

I love a lot of people as individuals but I pretty much despise humanity. Like I said I have to get away at times. My ultimate fantasy would be having 10,000 acres to myself, and I would only have to go into town when I wanted to -- not because I needed to work, or whatever. (I don't mind work per se. I just think most modern work is meaningless.)

I think the planet would have been better off without us/them.

and yes I'm waiting for something and don't know what.

Thanks for responding... maybe there are more out there like me than I suspect... I just hope someone can give me a clue.

One way of looking at our situation is that we humans have quite literally boxed ourselves in. It is standing room only and we are now packed shoulder to shoulder. There is no more "freedom" to be found in the old, tired external ways that we have become accustomed to. The external world is quickly becoming a hell for all of us and there is not a thing anyone can do to change that. So, the only option left to us it seems is to turn inward. Inside of us all lies heaven and only NOW at this point in history are the conditions favorable for this to occur for all of humanity.

To sum up, I can think of no more powerful notion than this: Those who can find peace while surrounded by the fires of hell will truly be free and eternal!

Yes... the closure of the map, literally and figuratively.

I used to have a spiritual path and I lost it. I need to be on the search again, I guess.

always. I find I intimidate people and often they don't understand what I am talking about. Things are over their heads and my wife tells me its because I think they understand and keep going but lose them.

Real life anyway, here I am more articulate because words are the only means of making the point.

I have felt so alien to others with my understanding of things that I always think about the explorer in a strange land.

The natives don't speak his language and the more he tries to communicate the more frustrated he gets. It reaches a point where he needs to get away from them to be alone.

and then he returns to try all over again.

Re: Does anyone else feel like they're not human?
Like you say here, this is a feeling that just wont let go. I have always felt as if i can see the complexity in things, where people normally would have no clue what I was talking about.

At a point in my life i would follow the urge inside, and get pretty advanced spiritually. But the environment keept bombarding it to the point where i basically gave up.

Just like you, I need my time alone, away from everything. It is not easy when you have a fiancê and a teenage child. I would never neglect them. My child is my purpose above anything in this world.

So at a point I would go to bed early in the evening and just spend hours inside my own head, my "sphere", alone with the enegies, the sounds, the images, the voyages, "GOD SPACE" - is the closest I can get to describe it.

I came to love those moments more than anything.

Re: Does anyone else feel like they're not human?
I was once told, "he who knows others is learned, he who knows himself is wise"

I think what we all need is to get back in touch with self because we get so consumed with the external. Some people use transcendental meditation, some use music, some fish, some walk, but at times nothing can remove the stain you feel from the outside permeating in.

Many people have told me they are insomniacs and I show them the cure... visualize a blank screen and focus on it... eventually you are drawn into the blank and are asleep. Its a form of self-hypnosis and works.

With me though, I feel I carry the weight of the world and that rushed feeling of time running out and not wanting to drop the ball keeps me in the wakeful state even when sleeping. As a light sleeper I wake up easily and maybe because I lucid dream.

The thing that compounds the problem is the web... I am often led to material kind of like a synergy and its always ironic... or so I think.

The cure here friends, is to relax. That wouldn't work for me because I am always relaxed and in that meditative state so as a baseline I couldnt get any calmer. The thinking of things that are so complex I follow them through in my mind sometimes drains me it is that intense.

but I come up with profound insights and try to inspire others. I am always going on about inspiration and hpe to inspire others who will in turn inspire me again but to date its all been one way.

Maybe we are just too smart?

I have felt that cosmic connection with God since the time I felt touched by him. I have Prayers answered to a point I was actually afraid to Pray because you never know how they will get answered and after praying for a girl in a wheelchair once who was paralyzed in a massive jolt she kept falling and hurting herself.
I figured that maybe the neural pathways needed pain to re-establish and I won't Pray pain on anyone again.

anyway thats a glimpse... its so much deeper you would be ... worried lol

As I see, organizers are waking up. But because you don't remember your pre-definition, doesn't mean you already haven't been there. Do your mission, the reason why you have been sent to Earth in the first place. That is all for now.

Yes, for about 5 years, it just hit me. Don't know why. I don't belong here. I feel trapped inside this body. At first I would tell people, and they would have a blank stare.
I think one you read that others feel the same, it gets alittle better knowing that others have the same feeling.
Then you're not alone, even when you feel strange being around others. Now I don't say anything, because others don't understand.

WOW, I never told anyone this, but once as part of a group I was doing a healing visualization for a friend who had AIDS.

I visualized the virus draining out of the soles of his feet and swirling down a drain.

After a few minutes he swayed and someone standing by him caught him and helped him sit down, asked him if he was okay and he said, "yes, just sometimes all my strength seems to drain out of the soles of my feet."

It scared the HELL out of me and I've felt guilty ever since even though I've come to understand since that he used his illness as a crutch.
