I agree with you, Pollyannuh. Our Congress is full of bastards. Thatīs about all I can come up with. Words fail me when I consider that they continue to sink to lower depths all the time. Is there nothing too underhanded for them? |

"What we have here is a printing press, and over here is the paper, and thereīs some of that fancy ink. Now people, what we have here is an economic crisis of monstrous proportions, and after much deliberation by our crack staff of economists, all with MBAs I might add, we have come to the conclusion that we need to print more money. Now yīall will be payed overtime, just as soon as the ink dries on them there bills. Now letīs get to work people, and show them rooskies what we are made of." |

No, Sugar Land deserves a quake! Actually, a sink hole would be just fine. Sugar Land could sink deep into the earth (as long as it happens while Tom Delay is there). |

Thatīs a shocking story. Never heard of any kind of government/corporate graft like that before. The petro lords get to ream and cream the taxpayer? Pretty shocking alright. |

Thanks, everyone. Itīs so important for people to read and understand what goes on with these bills. The add-ons are what cripples us. Sadly, most times we donīt learn about these things until AFTER the vote. But, we can still call our congresscritters and let them know weīre watching and will vote accordingly in the next election. Another good idea is to keep a running list of things that your congresscritter voted for or against, and use the list when you write to him/her. They really HATE to be reminded how many times they voted against their constituency. |

Anyways, I couldnīt find what I thought was a 20 billion break, what I found was an 80 billion break but that was published by Sierra Club so probably not a good thing to link. lol. |

This is how Tom Delay funnels government money back into his campaign coffers. Watch how much consortium members donate to his campaign in the coming years (not to mention Republicans all over the country). This is the scratching backs game. |

Polly, I saw this too a couple of hours ago. Waxman will not take this lying down nor others. I think that this will be a real showdown. The GAO will become involved, and as the Rovegate thing moves to major investigation status, this will come down, too. It was illegal what was done so there should be someway to undo it. Has the Senate started meeting on this yet? |
