This isn't new, and it's not the first mainstream reference.. I'd say Anne Rice was the first to reference this in pop culture, not counting rock and roll, of course.

I didn't say it was new, but that its being introduced to the general public in a viral internet/media fashion. Anne Rice referencing it is far different than world-wide media attention blatently telling everyone their Zodiac just had an upgrade. I'm not talking about the allegories in rock either. There is a reason for the story going viral so suddenly world-wide.

The final aspect of the first current is tragedy. Key XV, because of its dark associations, is uniquely suited to absorb the influences of tragedy that come with Key VII. NASA spacecraft are monitoring an interstellar wind coming from the constellation Ophiuchus.

This story is about what really happens when the sun enters the zodiac's 13th house: An interstellar wind hits our planet.

It's a helium-rich breeze from the stars, flowing into the solar system from the direction of Ophiuchus. The sun's gravity focuses the material into a cone and Earth passes through it during the first weeks of December. We're inside the cone now.

Astronomers call it the Local Interstellar Cloud. The sun's magnetic field holds much of the cloud at bay, but some of the cloud's gas does penetrate--hence the breeze.

I cannot for the life of me understand how some people believe this crap. So, you were born in a certain month....who cares? It's all totally meaningless. People who waste their time every day reading their "horoscope" need to wake up and just start living.

I'm actually a little startled that this "new" sign is suddenly cropping up everywhere. I first heard about Ophiuchus last month when -for Christmas- I received a History Channel DVD set about Nostradamus. The 2nd disc in the set spotlighted Nostradamus and 2012 and that's when they zeroed-in on Ophiuchus and it's relationship to the grand galactic alignment.

We are truly living in amazing times as seemingly everything we've understood is now being challenged by "new" discoveries almost daily!!

BTW: the History Channel narrator pronounced it as: "oh-fee-yew-cuss".

watch the whole thing, look at the dates and then wonder how far our heliosphere has been compressed by now if when they made that announcement it was already at the inner planets (saturn i think they say in the video).

The Nostradamus episode that's posted on pg1 is very interesting. His "Lost Book" seems to concentrate on the center of our galaxy, Ophiuchus, and major change.
