You need to get over the whole "war" thing there, mate. It makes you look stupid.

Wars are started by certain entities; the "winners" are determined before it even starts.

And yes, English IS a Germanic language. Look it up.

It's not a Germanic language it has a complex combination and rich history to how it evolved. The fact that people from the area of land before Germany was created happened to be part of it loosely is one small part of many factors. But German it is not. Try listening to both. It has more similarities to French than German. It has more similarities to Japanese than German thinking about it. Britain of course has defeated both Germany and French too many times to mention..but hey we're not counting. You're only as good as your last fight though. So doing fine, no hang ups.

p.s. Mentioning the war is one thing. But we're over it. Are you? Doesn't sound like it.
