And thats not the only land the feds are buying. There has a home here back in September that blew up and was leveled due to Natural gas explosion:

I didnt think much of it at the time, then there was a follow up to the story a couple weeks ago cause people in the neighborhood were complaining that the property had not been cleaned up, and someone there did some digging and found out that the federal government had bought the property. This property is in an older subdivision with other homes 10 feet away from one another, why would the feds buy it ?
