No, there is no harm done. The most I have seen happen is slight tingling if the energy is blocked up badly. Like I said no touching is needed and I can do it remotely.

Reiki is opening a CHANNELL for Divine Energy... It’s not energy coming from the person doing the Reiki, but rather energy channelled through the person..... from God ALL PREVAILING LIFE FORCE to people.
