Just notice how you might be as bad as any Christian you dislike. People who really think they are sure they know something operate similarly and make similar accusations. You may or may not know anything at all, and it might be important to realize that as well rather than falling into any kind of fanatacism in your own ideas about truth.

I'll also try to pay attention to myself to make sure I don't fall into that and continue to present possibilities and choose less risky seeming options.

I think it might be helpful if you focus deeply on yourself and your behavior and your ideas about what you think you know and how that may be what leads people to behave like what you call "Christians" or what I might call "fanatics".
