I think we shouldn't lose hope due to the creation of a chaotic atmosphere on continuing to present the suggestion that people might want to consider risks and avoid potential personal disaster which is the point of this thread.

It may be a possible tactic to create such a ruckuss in a thread that it completely causes people to forget the subject at hand.

You might consider or wonder why such things happen in these threads, and if perhaps presenting the questions I have presented pose a serious threat to some organizations or groups of people and that there is even a possibility that they don't know what is suggesting to them that they should attack me or do whatever they are feeling justified in doing that is distracting from the topic of this thread.

So please don't give up on me!

It's all "swings and roundabouts" though mate. You could also be the one who's wrong and potentially warning people away from a life of enlightenment from possible benelovent beings who have been tarred with the brush of Lucifer by the overzealous clergy.

I make no decision either way as I think both sides of the argument are interesting and based in sound logic (for the most part) but it gets to a point where you have to leave people to their own devices.

Yes, but I haven't said "this is definitely the truth" but I think it is important to consider the negative possibilities.

This isn't about what is true so much as what is risky.

If someone says "jump into this beam of fire to ascend" one should consider that they might be right as well as they might be wrong, and wonder of the personal value of "ascent" anyway, and all the implications that are being suggested, because one might find that it is entirely arbitrary in the end, while having a greed for being "higher" was a means to let someone trick someone into killing themselves or harming themselves.

So yes, absolutely everything Nobody In Particular has said may be entirely true, but then it is such a risk that it might be too dangerous to take a "leap of faith" and place oneself in the hands of entities who claim to want to help but may want to harm.

I hope you can understand how this is a little different from simply two beliefs being presented that are both said to come to pass automatically.

If someone says everyone will go to hell in the future and there is nothing you can do about it. Then why should one worry? We'll see.

But if someone says "here is a fire, jump into it for your betterment" one should perhaps think why this choice is being imposed at all, why there has to be a leap of faith, how it might be a trick and all the other implications.

The reason Nobody In Particular is an important example is because she claims that very soon Christ Michael will be asking us publically to make this decision, while banning all broadcasting that is contrary to making this decision and basically repeatedly suggesting to people that the only way to save your life is entering onto his ships to be taken to another planet such as Venus, and threatening that if you don't make this choice you are likely to die."

His claims may be true, but I want to give a chance before the supposed communications ban that he claims will happen in case it does.

This means I'm giving her claims great respect and credence and that I am able to believe in the possibility that something may be about to happen, but I can also see that it may be a terrible trap.

That is why this is important to me. Because we are being asked to make a physical, literal, decision to place our physical bodies on board the ships of unknown entities with unknown intentions. It could lead to paradise as they claim, but it could lead to hell, and so you can decide if you want to trust these entities that also claim burning is a good thing.

I guess not! Maybe though. Can you tell me about her and her board history? What's the tale of Nancy Leider!

I got far more pressing issues awaiting attention.

I am not 'abandoning' you or anything FreedomStands, I am however priorising a more important issue in development than a couple of people posting.

Pretty much this. Once an argument turns trench warfare, all you get is a lot of mud and a very long stalemate.

I'm going with the aliens...they would have to prove they are not in my best interest...The politicians have already proved otherwise...

Frankly, there's not very many reasons to trust anything other than science. We've got a lot to learn, but the study of science will, eventually, help us get there.

AND it doesn't matter how long it takes, there are no prizes for timeliness. 20 years, 200 years, 2000 years, etc.

He's personally attacking her. I'm sorry you're not seeing it, but that doesn't change it. He has twisted her obviously esoteric words into literal fire and has made very obvious connections between what she believes and suicide cults.

He has called her and anyone who believes like her, a luciferian satanist.

If you can't see it, then the good opinion I might have otherwise formed about you just lowered significantly. Especially since the whole luciferian thing is there in blunt, word-for-word black and white. Not even the tiniest bit of comprehension is required to see that one.

Well, I'm not a big fan of NiP. I think sometimes she's more than a little nuttyburgers.

It's not about liking her.

It's not even about defending her religion, which is frankly kind of scary.

It's about the gross misrepresentation of her. And I mean, these are not minor things. This insinuation that she wants people to burn themselves up to "get rid of their body" is a very serious allegation. It really is.

And try as he might to deny it, he HAS put these allegations together. And it IS personal (again, you don't post a person's personal RL info when it isn't personal towards them).

He has made sure that anyone who hasn't read her stuff fairly extensively would see this thread and think she's some kind of monster who wants to burn people, gas them in space ships, or who leads some kind of monster suicide cult.

Which is pretty fucking extreme, I don't care who you are.

People who've read her stuff wouldn't see it, but anyone who hasn't would be hard-pressed to believe that sometimes he's talking all about her beliefs but other times (undifferentiated times) he's not... and they should know which is which...

You see it as a personal attack, I just see it as a disagreement in fundamentals. I don't think his estimation of NiP is right by any stretch of the imagination (like I said in a previous post, I think NiP is an awesome poster and I really do enjoy her threads, possibly more than any other poster on GLP if I'm honest).

What I don't see is how you've taken this to such personal extremes. Maybe what FreedomStands is implying about her belief system is somewhat undesirable but IMO he's not been rude or insidious in his comments, he's merely being honest in as (again IMO...) friendly fashion as he can manage.

All of his points are based in sound logic too. Although I love NiPs posts, I do see how they are prone to flights of fancy.
