Now there's an interesting thought.
I get so confused when I look at the north pole on google earth.
For one thing, there is no ice anywhere around the pole, even on the historical pictures, and I have ALWAYS been under the impression that the literal pole was located on a land mass, but there's nothing but sea out there.
What really freaks me out is when I have the grid program up with latitude and longitude lines, when you zoom into the north pole they twist into a kind of 'tube' that seems to descend into the planet.
