What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
I think I am starting to see the truth behind them.

I looked at one of the facebook's of one of the pastor's sons ministries he has. Now we are from a small city. He is a pastor son, they lived in a huge mansion, bought by the church. He went to Oral Roberts. He went globe hopping. Now he is in LA, near Hollywood, with a company called Red Eye Inc.

How does a pastor son get all this money to open something like this? He's only 29 I think. Take note the symbol for the ministry is an eye, not exactly a Christian symbol, unless you are one who consider the Eye of Providence a Christian symbol.

Website for Red Eye [link to www.redeyeinc.org]

This is suppose to be a Christian ministry website? His father and mother are both pastors for Assembly of God.

This is the church they run now, they used to run one in Northern IL. [link to www.tabernacleag.org]

I went to their school they ran from elementary to high school. You wouldn't believe how many people they turned away from Christianity. They made people completely mad. They told anyone who wasn't their exact religion that they were going to hell.

Most the people I knew who graduated from there are no longer Christians. There was a saying the Master Commission people said , "It's better to have sex than dancing." Since dancing was from the devil, you know?jerkit That's how twisted these people were.

Now 10 years later, it makes sense.

I found this article was printed in a local paper, of all places. It is offline now, but part of it is still able to read here: [link to www.conspiracyarchive.com] The influence of ex CIA members are pastor are AOG churches. I guess it's pretty common knowledge, but it makes sense.

I don't belong to my religion is better than your's club. It isn't what my heart and mind says. These people weren't good people. You don't have to be Christian to be a good person, but these people put a bad name out there for Christians. I think that's the purpose. I am not sure of the full reason why the CIA is in there, but I bet it's intertwined with who Billy Graham really is. [link to www.thewatcherfiles.com]

It's to water down the message.

I am very ignorant on the AOG/CIA relations. I am all ears on other GLP's take of more info.

there are a few here in CT and they get lawyers and higher ranking officials into the churches. They collaborated here on how to expand property "for the will of god" and bought out ofver a 8 year period 3 city blocks pretty much for nothing. they know everything is tax free and they got "saved" surveyers to offer the town money pennies on the dollar. they knew it would attract revenue. Thats how most of those churches work. I'm sorry but I played the game for a while but the whole idea of those type of churches is to "force" the "spirit" on you over time. They even faked shit to make people believe....Trinity broadcasting network is a major influence of those churches also.its complete hipocracy what they do behind closed doors with their "clicks". hope that was useful info. I've been "Jesus Free" now 8 years and I'm never going back. I could tell you more sometime.- SENTINAL (offline)

It's pretty easy to make money in religion when you don't pay taxes and you have herds of sheep throwing money at you to save their soul. If you want to be a millionaire, form a religion.

I am very interested in what you know, since that church was sadly a big part of my life. I didn't go to church there, but going to school there was enough to drive you nuts.

I knew the principal at our school was off. They made so much money off people who went to school there, I wish my mom wasn't so foolish to send me there.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
What a great thread, OP! That link to the former CIA'ers being pastors was very interesting.

Are you starting to see now that churches have become infiltrated? Have you read Wingedlion's thread on here on how to spot a satanic infiltrator in a church?

I, too, grew up in an AOG church from 4th grade to 9th grade, and also attended their school. It was a HUGE church with thousands of members, and the pastor was well known and very charismatic. He could hold the audience's attention like no actor could. He was mesmerizing.

I've told this story before on here, but you probably haven't heard it. I left in 9th grade to public school partly because of an incident with the pastor losing his temper with me and becoming out of control in front of a whole classroom of students.

Not soon after I left, he was exposed in a gigantic scandal that he had secretly been having homosexual relations with some of the church senior clergy staff and also carrying on a secret homosexual life in the city, supposedly behind his wife and four kids's backs.

Churches today are now, sadly, so corrupt and infiltrated with wolves in sheep's clothing. They have infiltrated the flock just like Jesus said they would. It's very sad.

Yes, I have read Wingedlion's thread. It describes most of the teachers to a T. I was kicked out of their school sophomore year, THANK GOD! The whole ordeal still angers me though, since everyone from that school shunned me b/c I was kicked out. It is very cult like.

I remember I was getting bullied, and the principal joined in with the BULLYING! There was SOMETHING off about him. The only time I saw him smiled, was when the cheerleaders were performing. There was something UP, I am sure he was CIA. He was too robotic. I messaged him through facebook to tell him he aided in making my life hell.

There should be a support group for ex AOG church and school members!

I am not surprised by your story, thank God you got out of the school and that "pastor" never hurt you.

I went through a long period of rebellion after that, but I came back to my first love. I'm 38 now. There are people I know that went to school with me who were so turned off by that experience at that church/school that they want nothing to do with Christianity now. It's sad, however Jesus did warn us that the wolves would invade the flock. They shouldn't be surprised.

At my old AOG church we had people like Dino Kartsonakis, the Christian pianist, perform, also Carlton Pearson came there quite a bit, a lot of the then big names in the Evangelical circle. I remember at school worship/chapel session, the teachers and church leaders used to hover around us and see who was raising their hands in worship, who wasn't, and those who weren't were considered not as "holy" as those who did, etc. The whole thing was so forced and ridiculous.

That Redeye church link you posted, did you see the girl in the short redish dress with the cowboy boots? Not that I think she's a satanist, but seriously, why post a picture of a girl wearing such a short dress on a church's website page? How does this show the world that we are modest and different than the world? Also the music from the group The Foals is playing. I love The Foals's music, but should secular music like that really belong on a church's website?

So how did they bully you at the school, OP? And what did the pastor do, if you don't mind my asking?

I am Catholic, and my father was Jewish. So I always felt like I was in the lion's den from day one. I never fit in, even buying the clothes, which wasted so much of my mother's money. I regret all of it.

But the principal wasn't a pastor. I am exactly sure what his past was. But there was this junior, a tall blonde hair boy, who harassed me all the time. Called me ugly, fat. He even asked me to prom as a joke, in front of everyone, of course. I was in 7th grade when it was happening. One incident I remember, when everyone was around, the bully told the principal I was actually harassing him. Then the principal just scolded me in front of everyone, like How dare you harass one of our finest students? I felt so little, so numb. This wouldn't be the last time the principal would make me feel so small.

My small group of friends were never the ones to raise our hands, so we of course weren't included, and we labeled outcasts. Pretty pathetic it all was.

Whatever RedEye Inc is, it's just strange to me.

Wow, why did your father, who is Jewish, send you to an AOG church/school?

I'm sorry that you were bullied like that. Kids can be so cruel, and its effects far outlast the teen years. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord. I hope you know that :-)

So have you given up on following Jesus because of all that happened to you?

My mom was the one who sent me. The local Catholic school was filled, my mom got her mother's inheritance, so she thought maybe private school was best. I got beat up at a local public school, so we tried their school. I wish I could push rewind and never went. I am still Catholic, not as good as I should, I pray. I haven't given up, I just given up trusting people. I can't stand to see anyone from that school, I usually run the opposite way if I see one. T

I just can't believe how infiltrated all the churches are. The Catholic church was went to, we stopped going when the priest gave my mom attitude about her voluteering. We later found out he was an alcoholic, and lots of people stopped attending the church , because he just is mean and rude.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
From what I remember they put much of their efforts in works to get rewards from heaven and to earn as many crowns as possible in heaven. They hardly ever talk about grace (as many of the baptist emphasize).

They seem to be okay with makeup, hairspray, etc but in works they are in many ways like the pentecostals who aren't allowed to wear pants or make-up, etc.

To be "saved" for real, they believe you must speak in tongues, if you haven't done this than you may not really be saved. They call that "baptized in the spirit", where-as most other protestants are emersed in water (or some of them -like lutherans and catholics may just put water on the forhead when babies for baptism).

I've been to many churches and the one thing I do see is that for the most part, those people do/try to live by the 10 commandments (even though it's impossible to do your whole life-that's why Jesus had to come to us).

I totally agree. A pastor of mine was found to have done some bad things-I won't go into it, it was when I was young and I think it really made me not "trust" churches. I only trust in God because man will fail. I know I'm supposed to associate and fellowship with other christians but I can't bring myself to get involved in the "church scene". I do read my bible and I may even read it more than the people who do attend.

Oh and another thing, I've noticed music is VERY important in AOG churches. They usually have great musicians and singers. I believe it also attracks the people with personalities that like to perform (and also "be seen").

Yeah, I notice that too now looking back. Our worship services were always long, and we sang the same verses over and over again, and had a lot of great musicians come as guests.

Music is a great way to stir up people's emotions into thinking they are having a spiritual experience, when in fact they are only having a "fleshly" experience.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
Here is the full article on CIA in AOG churches from the local paper: [link to rockrivertimes.com]

The guy who writes is a lefty, but he is also a minister himself.

"This may have triggered the CIA encouraging their members to find religion. I’m not saying it’s a program set up by the government. But if I were to write a novel, I would use the premise of evangelical churches getting lots of support from the United States government’s right wing."

Maybe it's for controlled opposition to the left? I have no idea.

The speaking in tongues always confused me and made me uncomfortable. I was taught speaking in tongues was the apostles actually speaking in foreign languages to others about the word of God. So what they did was useless in my eyes.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
The thing with AOG churches is they are all independent. Some denominations are held accountable to the denomination, some aren't. I used to go to a church that was like that....not accountable....and because of some things that happened was leary of going to another denomination like that because there has to be some accountability somewhere. I ended up at an AOG church, but looked into it before making a decision.

So, when it comes to AOG churches....and other denominations....each one is sort of its own entity.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
I had never heard of the AOG/CIA connection, but when I was growing up, my best friend's dad was and AOG travelling minister. Her parents were divorced but she always told me that her dad had worked for the CIA before he was a preacher, and I remember her mom even telling a story or two about coming home and knowing people had been in her house. This was when I was about 9-11 years old this girl lived on my street.

Re: What is the truth behind Assembly of God churches?
Once masons infiltrate a church, it goes to hell.

A baptist preacher told me that last year.

And I'm not even baptist. It was my mom's church.

He said that they have been moving from the pews to the pulpit and the churches have changed because of it.

Hmmm, I wonder why?

Could it be because of LUCIFER!

"Assembly of God churches" are anti-Catholic. They have
a lot of fallen away Catholics in their congregation.

By whose authority do they preach what they do? They're
another heretical sect, so don't waste your time.

Oh heck yes they are. Said we worshiped statues, worshiped The Virgin Mary...everything that's in those Glick Publications. I mean, Catholics are far fro perfect, too. I just hate their holier than thou speech all the time.

Please don't send your kids to private schools connected to AOG, Public school, even how screwed up it is, IS BETTER! Or home schooling. The schooling from there was a pretty rancid experience. I have NO positive memories from that school, and I was there from elementary to high!
