The posts and info are held on servers in databases.

With enough storage capacity, the internet will outgrow the known universe, at which point mankind will become a singularity.

 Quoting: Is it endless? 1203935

The internet is a collection of computers connected with each other. The number of computers in the network is endless, theoretically only limited by the number of IP addresses (and subnets) - but pretty sure they will come with a new protocol even when IPv6 is "full".

The content of a website is saved on the hard disk, whether as a file or in a database. Database size is unlimited as they can be broken down to other databases when one is too big to be efficient. For example, database 1 for posts between 2000 and 2005, database 2 for posts between 2006 and 2010, etc.

So in essence the internet is endless.
