Question about EASY BRUISING
I noticed that I've been getting really scary looking bruises lately, and also broken cappilary. I never had that problem before. Do you think it could be cause by starting to take Fish Oil and mineral supplements?

A Dr. told my brother in law if he takes fish oil it will thin the blood some. So be careful of other blood thinners.

I used to do that ... so I now take vitamin B s and Vit C...

I am highly intutive and I use up tons of B's... when i get low, I will bruise...easy...

I now use alot of B's and a Cal-Mag-Zinc combo....

our foods do not have alot of B's and we need it.

if you loook at the packages that are for stress, it has alot of B...

anyway works for me

Yes this is true. I was taking tons of it thinking the more the better. A tiny cut would bleed for hours off and on. It does thin the blood in high doses. VitC also helps. Possibly you're deficient?

YES! My doctor told me that fish oil acts as a blood thinner. Maybe you should switch to flax seed oil. I take 1000 mg fish oil and don't have any problems.

Drink Coke or a Dr. Pepper. I know it sounds crazy....

But for some reason you'll be less prone to bruising..
They should take the warning labels off of everything and let stupidity sort itself out.

I was told not to take so much aspirin because I bruise and bleed alot when cut or injured. So if you take aspirin everyday it might be an issue.

good 4 U, cayenne pepper drops in purified water will help you avoid a heart attack (under tongue, straight drops, no water) and if taken at a time of a heart attack it will help you avoid heart muscle damage

Re: Question about EASY BRUISING
Btw my wife is a nurse with in a retirement facility. Many of her residents/patients are on Coumadin (Warfarin). All the ones taking fish oil have to have their coumadin adjusted(lowered). Anything which thins the blood can cause easy bruising. Here: [link to www.google.com] Corticosteroid medication and some dietary supplements (ginkgo and FISH OIL) are leading causes of easy bruising in many patients. Such formulations cause thinning of skin as one of its adverse effects, thus increasing the risk for bruising.People who are currently on blood thinning medication may experience easy bruising on legs. The ingested drug disturbs the normal blood clotting process, thus increasing the risk for bleeding and bruising incidences.

You might consider what I do most of the time--I rotate --so I am not taking the same thing every day. Like take some every three days--take other supplements on those days etc.
