The thing that kills me scrump is we have so few choices we put them in power......

Thats why when the change that is coming gets here...

I would support common people with a heart, Khimmy is a perfect example to lead us....

Because a common person would make the decisions for the greatest good for the most amount of people.

You must remove the money from politics first...and that is the battle that is coming

The American political climate selects against competent representative leadership.

The "best and brightest" go into business or academics or into the "total loss" category because deviance in any form is generally frowned up in day to day society.

The microscope put upon most candidates is enough of a deterrent to most people who can do something else... those that go into politics are either power hungry and not very creative or mediocre at best. :)

At a certain point in the American political system people stopped electing people who they thought would be the best leaders and started electing people who "looked like them" and did not offend their sensibilities.

I agree that a 'Regular Joe (or Jane)' would blow the doors off anyone in DC...*Medina for Governor!* but there are no real "Regular Joe's" to choose from today...

It takes tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to be elected these days... you'll never change that... it's a machine.

Everything can change.....revamp of the whole system is possible.....If the People unite for it....This is their corner stone of power...it's too expensive for Jack and Jane...that is where our focus should be...But it will take a united America all speaking in one voice this is how it's going to be............

I agree entirely with this.

1) People stop participating in consumer culture and minimize use of credit. Advertising ceases because it doesn't work, this breaks one corner of the mind control triangle. Demand-side stagflation would occur, which would "softly collapse" the economy and almost overnight make the petite bourgeoisie bloated and largely corrupt management class obsolete, good buy wasteful McMillionaires! Eventually the supply-side would adjust to the new level of demand. In all of this, food is a constant the supply and demand for this economy doesn't change, so we all still eat.

2) Once people break the mind control hold from advertising, most of the social engineering culture programming gets voided, real writers will have to be called in to write shows that people actually will watch because they are no longer interested in the Sex and the City, Friends, Skins Date my 14 Year Old Pregnant Homosexual HIV Daughter shows. TV will no longer be a source of message and again be a source of entertainment. Political activism can be done again on a local or internet-local level. No or little money required.

So who's going to make this happen?

I can imagine it HERE, with people who can AT LEAST SEE the problem...but out there? In the real world? People are discussing Jersey Shore and Sarah Palin and Oprah.

I agree with Scrump. It'll never change. Not, at least, before the whole thing collapses and the survivors once again band together and pick up the pieces. Maybe then...

They don't really want it because people like them would no longer exist.

Scrump and people like him have too much invested in this scheme to understand they are the problem, or at least, a big part of the solution. ;)

I would say that most already know the needs and know that the present "slavery" system sucks, but it is not a question of needs, it is a question of execution!

The problem is one million takes no longer to write than a trillion, but it would only take me 11 and a half days to throw a million out the window at one dollar per second, and 31 years to throw a billion out that same window at one dollar per second.

I have a pretty good idea what I'll be doing a million seconds from now,(aged 51) no idea what I'll be doing a billion seconds from now, (I'll be 70)and an excellent idea of what I'll be doing a trillion seconds from now.(pushing up the daisies)

In terms of "money can be found", sure the damn bankers can always make trillions more out of nothing, but I am almost certain that they are not going to finance your Ad campaign!!!

In my opinion, 2008 was a 'test run'... and since then we've seen them frantically prop-up the system (while drawing those who lost 40% in '08 back into the market(s))... by doing everything in their power to delay foreclosing on the millions of delinquent mortgages out there... by monetizing the debt... propping up the Dow... so many other ways.

It'll last until the World is in the shape the money men want it in... then they'll pull the plug.

All they have to do is to stop the propping-up & let the system roll at this point... they've set-up something much like a dead-man's switch.

The 600 trillion dollar derivatives market is a good example of that.
