But if I was a mythical creature whose nose did grow with internet postings--then I suppose it would be getting longer with every reply.

The better lies almost immediately are seen as "it could be the truth." Lies tend to take on a "life of their own" in that one lie begets another begets another--they must multiply to support the original lie, and then further to support that lie upholding the first lie, etc.

But the possibility that something can be true is not the same as something being true in actuality.

Most will happily live, trapped in a web of lies. But their happiness is false--if it is not staked in something true, then happiness is a mere flimsy illusion. So while living small lies and denying truths may afford a person a sense of happiness, it is shallow and meaningless--and the bottom could drop out at any moment.

Intent has no bearing on a lie.

A must learn for most sheeple these days..
