Science would have us believe it takes thousands if not millions of years but this gives support to the idea that given drastic changes it can be instant. Now there may be entities seeking control; the World Bank, the Communist Party, the rich... But to seek control is to take enormous aggravation upon yourself because this process that is underway will take the control freak by the short and curlies and throw them against the wall. - Terence McKenna Nature has a certain order. If you read the article the changes that were displayed were most likely a direct result of the change of environment during the fertilization and developing process. The fish mutated simultaneously to better fit the environment it assumed it would be living in. This gives weight to the idea that evolution can happen nearly instantaneously in a species when the environment changes dramatically. Wow, if that is you in your avatar, well, you're beautiful. |

Science would have us believe it takes thousands if not millions of years but this gives support to the idea that given drastic changes it can be instant. Darwin and Science are both morons. There is NO evolution (except for micro-evolution ie: change in beaks, feathers, fur, etc - but WITHIN the species). I am not a 'creationist' as I don't yet believe in God as I have no TRUE knowledge of any God (and fuck books, the bible/koran/etc/etc was probably written wholly buy the same 'evils' that try to run the world these days). Point is, though, there is still NO evidence of ass-fuck Darwin's 'evolution'. Crocodiles have always BEEN crocodiles - maybe evolution went as far as making them fresh water AND salt water, so we call them crocodiles and alligators. BUT corcodiles HAVE NOT 'evolved' into some *NEW* species (ie: monkeys to humans (hahahaha)). Snakes are also as 'old' as dinosaurs - yet they haven't evolved anything mega - you know, NO wings, NO tremor (movie) style underground tunneling, NO titanium armor scales, etc, etc... BUT MICRO-evolution may have bestowed a more advanced venom bite or maybe to see/take notice more of a certain frequency of light to warn of humans, or maybe living in a city they would 'advance' in their ways of getting around. Giraffes have ALWAYS had LONG necks - where are the bone or fossil records that show them with SHORT necks??? There are NONE - what, once an animal 'evolves' all it's predecessors fossils magically disappear?? Micro-evolution is easily seen in domesticated animals - a sausage dog may not have always been a sausage dog, but it certainly hasn't 'evolved' into a human-sausage dog. Anyhoo, if you believe in evolution please provide some evidence. MICRO-evolution - stronger muscles through generations of healthy, strong cells. MACRO-evolution - six fingers. Or more arms for 'multi-tasking'. |

No...Most mutations in evolution take place in one or more offspring. Then it spreads throughout a species. Evolutionary mutations are genetic and benifical. The "mutations" in the article are caused by a wieghtless enviornment and run across the entire experiment. It's not evolution, it's a deformity. The genes of the fish weren't changed or mutated...just the conditions the embryos were developed. Odds are if you took the egg or sperm from one of those fish and mated it with a normal Earth born fish on Earth, the offspring would be normal. I agree with this. It wasn't a mutation it was deformity. It's couldn't grow naturally so it was messed up. |
