[ link to www.popsci.com] I beg to differ. If you read the article the changes that were displayed were most likely a direct result of the change of environment during the fertilization and developing process. The fish mutated simultaneously to better fit the environment it assumed it would be living in. This gives weight to the idea that evolution can happen nearly instantaneously in a species when the environment changes dramatically. Quoting: ~Stormy~Interesting story However when the time has arrived and we are impregnating and giving birth in space.Wont the artificial star treck type gravity needed for practical purposes on space craft counter the mutation. long periods of weightlessness already cause problems to humans thus why such an artificial gravity is needed before people start having space kids You remember this back in 08? According to Russian news agency Novosti, baby cockroaches conceived aboard a satellite in September have apparently grown up to be faster and tougher than their terrestrial brethren. The first creatures ever conceived in space also grew more quickly than ordinary Earth-bred cockroaches.
