Cincy here and it's where it should be,i check it a couple times a day.

OP do you use a sextant to check you true north or what do you aligh it with?
Also, what is your degree of magnetic varience in your area?

Permanently stationed so it don't move.
I have the north on dial always aligned with neddle point north. Looked it at today at 19:00 noticed it off 6 Degrees due East. I am not seeing things. There is no way it could move from the way i have it stationed.

It's been right where it belongs all this time every day. Just today noticed the shift 6 degrees to the east. It is still 6 degrees off since 19:00 hrs.

oh lord, people are so stupid. he just said that the compass is in the same location all the time, pointed to north, and its off six degrees, and you ask if it could be his posistion. My compass here in missouri moves around especially at night as well. Magnetic north is moving around alot these days.

I don't know. I know it is 6 degrees off to the East now, than what it was before 19:00 hrs. I make it a habit of checking every so often through out the day. Through out the day it's been right on the North mark. The at 19:00 hrs i looked and bamm! Off by 6 Degrees to the East.

Notice that Clock pointing South in the red area right now. Been like that for a while now. Normal position for that IMF Clock is straight up, Due North.

Not that I have a real stationary compass but I did set one up a few days ago and noticed the same thing. Mine wasn't as precise on degrees although I estimated about 5.

I was so surprised I set up a second one jic it happens again.

2011 = 6 degree 40' W
With a movement of 4 degree 21' W in 42 yrs.
