Well, OP, maybe you forget one important thing here:

Who or what are these illuminati exactly? I mean, you have to know who you protest against to begin with, don't you think?

Well I mean the rothschilds, rockefellers, the global elite....all the information which people know when they read up on the illuminati through books or on the internet, anything. It would be a start for one thing by spreading the message on what everybody has read up on, watched and are knowleable about.

I'm just surprised there havent been any protests, not even against the corrupt government and so on..

I mean people could mention Aaron Russo talking to Nick Rockefeller and how Nick revealed there plans by creating a new world order and wanting to control everybody through electronic chips, or rik clay talking about the 2012 illuminati and how the illuminati control people through fear and negativity etc.. Or even flase flag operations such as 9/11.

Anything like that. Atleast if would spread the message and gain more recognition particularly through mainstream media if there were protests. Think about it.

Or even have celebrities who have raised the issue about the illuminati and 9/11 such as robbie williams or matt bellamy from the music band muse. Ok so people could play the video below at the protests - it would be a good start atleast.

Much of the information about the so called 'illuminati' is rather unsubstantiated IMO. A lot of it is the product of a rich imagination, to be honest.
Within the conspiracy-movement i see many people who let themselve carry away simply based on believes, just as much christians, muslims, etc, let themselves carry away.

Before you accuse me of being a shill.. lol.. I am NOT saying the mainstream media, politicians and multinationals aren't manipulating people. Its necessary to stay very critical about them and do your own research.
But.. to automatically assume everything some conspiracy-sites or books present, is anothing thing. Many of it is to be taken with a grain of salt, hearsay, speculation.

True, you have to be certain about it for a start.
But protests about these issues would certainly help wake more people up and be more open minded about issues like this. corrupt governments, 9/11 false flag operations, terrorism, etc.. protests would help people to think more openly minded which is what it's all about - to spread the message and wake more people up about what is going on in the world.
