Learn some chemistry, moron. What you're referring to is dissolved gases in the water being replaced by the salt when it dissolves. Water can only dissolve so much, when you throw the salt in it displaces dissolved gases. It doesn't produce an "immediate rolling boil", it produces a transient burst of trapped gases which bubble quickly out of it as the salt replaces them in the solution. Yes, I know, you're not convinced, you've seen it. I've corrected many dozens of people in person on this very issue, once you're convinced throwing salt in water makes it boil there's really no hope to convince you otherwise, but other people reading might want to know. |
