It recorded the yellow arc as its powerful stellar winds push the gas and dust out of the way. Astronomers believe the star, labelled Zeta in the constellation of Ophiuchus the snake charmer, once revolved around another star. [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] I don't think it's the same Zeta Reticuli stars allegedly source of the Greys and I don't even believe that the Greys are aliens. They are depicted in the chapter "The descending of Inanna through the underworld" of Sumerian Genesis ENUMA ELISH, as engineered beings created by ENKI to perform certain tasks. Are you that fucking dumb, or do you follow zeta's ? both would not suprise me at all. You really need to learn patience. And not be so insulting to others. It is no sweat off your brow sweetheart. You simply are moving too fast... Love your posts!! Xander |

Thread: Persistent Evidence of a Jovian Mass Solar Companion in the Oort Cloud [link to xxx.lanl.gov] Quoting: SickscentJohn J. Matese and Daniel P. Whitmire Department of Physics University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA, 70504-4210 USA Abstract: We present an updated dynamical and statistical analysis of outer Oort cloud cometary evidence suggesting the sun has a wide-binary Jovian mass companion. The results support a conjecture that there exists a companion of mass ≈ 1 − 4 MJupiter orbiting in the innermost region of the outer Oort cloud. Our most restrictive prediction is that the orientation angles of the orbit normal in galactic coordinates are centered on, the galactic longitude of the ascending node = 319◦ and i, the galactic inclination = 103◦ (or the opposite direction)with an uncertainty in the normal direction subtending ≈ 2% of the sky. A Bayesian statistical analysis suggests that the probability of the companion hypothesis is comparable to or greater than the probability of the null hypothesis of a statistical fluke. Such a companion could also have produced the detached Kuiper Belt object Sedna. The putative companion could be easily detected by the recently launched Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1244580 United States 01/26/2011 05:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually we have known its real since 1916.... when it was first discovered... "This star was discovered by astronomer E. E. Barnard in 1916, who noted its very high proper motion. The star moves about 10 arcseconds per year, which doesn't seem like much, but it takes only about 200 years to move an angular distance equivalent to the full moon in the sky. The actual space velocity of Barnard's Star is not remarkable. There are several other stars moving much more quickly (usually ejected from explosive systems or multiple-star systems), but the angular motion across the sky is greatly magnified by the fact that this star is so close to the Sun. From our perspective, it is only about 10th magnitude, but if we were able to somehow survive on a planet orbiting Barnard's Star, looking back at our Sun, it would be a very bright star, about the equivalent of Pollux in Gemini, in the eastern part of the constellation Monoceros" Yawn.Nuff Said. |

[link to www.telegraph.co.uk] and what if we do see betelgeuse?... and they are both actual stars. The Blue Star is seen as fairly benign in itself. The Hopi prophecy also speaks of a Red Star (The Red Purifier) that will follow later. This is seen as more malignant and the harbinger of far more radical and intense unpleasant changes. |

So, in 12418.8 years we will see a mass fly tight past our solar system in time for most of our bones to be long dessicated back to the earth. And to completely piss on the parade, it was only named zeta as an alphabetical countdown. This has been a pubic service announcement for those that are doomberbating. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1244581Look at the "bow shock;" if it were headed at us the bow shock would be between us and the star and appear to surround the star equally on both sides. More importantly, Zeta Ophiuchi's radial velocity is -15km/sec while its proper motion is about .02" per year. At a distance of 520 light years (a rough old figure for this star), that means its proper motion vector equates to 5.04206228 × 10^-5 ly per year or 477,005,734 kilometers per year, meaning 15.1 km per second. To sum up, its radial velocity in our direction is roughly equal to its linear velocity from our perspective, thus its vector of motion is aimed 45 degrees away from our solar system.
