ACTUALLY, UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS WERE DOWN LAST WEEK.
UNADJUSTED DATA

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 482,399 in the week ending Jan. 22, a decrease of 67,491 from the previous week.

I ONLY GO WITH THE ACTUAL NUMBER AS REPORTED BY THE STATES

The previous weeks were:

UNADJUSTED DATA

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 550,594 in the week ending Jan. 15, a decrease of 212,504 from the previous week.

UNADJUSTED DATA

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 770,413 in the week ending Jan. 8, an increase of 191,686 from the previous week.

UNADJUSTED DATA

The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 577,279 in the week ending Jan. 1, an increase of 52,038 from the previous week.

____________
As you can clearly see, over the past four weeks the numbers have been 482K, 551K, 770K and 577K. That adds up to 2,380,000 in the past four weeks. The average is close to 600 thousand a week. THAT is frightening!!!!!

Isee way over 2 million new claims over a 4 week period. So what is there are more in one week than another? The real question is what is he net loss or gain in employment.

One more factor, I just heard on a radio newscast that some people in the storm ravaged areas were unable to travel to unemployment offices due to impassable roads

There are fewer jobs left to lose.
When everyone is unemployed, there will be zero new claims, and the "happy days are here again" shills will say "the job market has stabilized and new claims have fallen to a record low"

I posted the link to the report. Every once in a while somebody questions my numbers because they want to believe the outrageous lies the government puts out. The government lies are in the first part of the report. The truth is in the UNADJUSTED DATA. Those are the actual numbers from the states.

Notice how the government lied about the 770,000 people who filed for UI a few weeks ago? Totally covered it up with their imaginary numbers.

Re: ACTUALLY, UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS WERE DOWN LAST WEEK.
how it works is when people run out of unemployment the unemployment rate goes down at the cost of the jobless rate going up, thats how they manipulate unemployment rate

thank you
