OKLAHOMA CITY -- News 9 received several calls just before 11 a.m. with reports that they heard what sounded like an "explosion" and felt the ground shake.

Several people reported feeling the ground shake in Midwest City and Del City. A few calls were also received from southeast Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey said they were still trying to figure out what had happened.

News9.com will have more information as soon as it become available.

Let us know if you felt anything this morning and tell us where you were in the comments below.

Re: BREAKING: Loud "boom" reported in Oklahoma area
A loud boom can be a number of things. Sonic boom from something entering atmosphere, explosion, earthquake, lots of things.

Please let us know if any more information comes in because just saying a loud boom in some area doesn't explain much.

Most likely.

I'll know for sure in a few hours.

Sonic booms are reported to have happened a few times at Tinker when pilots have gotten uh... enthusiastic about the capabilities of their aircraft.
