My parents were a bit revolutionary when it came to vaccines, and not giving them to us kids, born from 59 to 66'.
They used the religious ground for exemption.
There were a few moms that were freaking out and told my mom that their kids(we were toddlers) couldn't play with us...they were afraid that we were somehow contagious because we weren't immunized.
My mom had to tell these morons that it was her kids that could possibly catch these diseases from their kids when they got their shots, and please let her know so she could keep us away from them.
We all grew up with very strong immune systems and very very rarely caught any of the common colds, virus etc.

We did eat very healthy, are Italian, very little processed foods.
My Mom nursed us first for a few months, put unsulfered blackstrap molasses in raw certified milk, or goats milk,I forget what other liquids
First foods were smashed ripe banana and ripe avocado.
She then made fresh baby foods and got some kind of cereal at the health food store.
She also made fresh yougart.
I remember this from my sister who was born in 66...
