I am no expert, but his analysis makes a lot of sense. The movement of the foreground doesn't fit to that of the background.

Is it fake ? I cannot know. But without discussing it (something most believers are not willing to, they rather scream "shill") we will never find out.

if you note the existing lights on the ground, the light in the sky looks exactly like the light on the left (the 3rd over from the ''landing spot'' - & both are of the same shape & color temperature/magnitude ,btw). it looks like the existing light at the ''landing spot'' on the ground was cut out and pasted above the footage and manipulated.

just my opinion, but i have some cg editing exp, fwiw.

i agree entirely. not CGI in terms of a animated creation of light, but graphically manipulated clips of ground light superimposed.

i must admit i only watched the vid in the first post & didn't read any analysis, but, like i said, it was plainly obvious.

i'd welcome ANYTHING genuine, but this seems to be a hoax. it's sad, really. also, we should be ultra-exhaustive & thorough in being objective about these things. believing bs doesn't help.

btw, the flash/pulse thing would be easy enough to create with a preset lighting effect or lens flare* filter. the timing of the pulse and the rapid take-off seem to be independently created and, therefor, a little disjointed...the timing seems slow & disconnected/independent, although i must admit i don't know a lot about et propulsion ;P
