Quoting: CuriouslyIncognitome too. I think I would love to visit but probably not to live in it, It is so unique that it has to draw a lot of attention. One makes sense in the country, the other just doesn't. Rarely can one capture such a dichotomy in one photograph! But I liked looking at the pictures! Thanks for putting them on! :) |

Quoting: Yee HawUnfortunately Hurricane Ike destroyed most of them. The ship house survived though. I really love unusual houses,it's a shame that they were lost in the storm, maybe someone will be inspired to rebuild them one day. This one will forever be the Labyrinth house to me because of those stairs to nowhere. I loved the shot with the goats grazing so utterly unimpressed by that fantastical house behind them almost as much as the one that looks like the house is floating midair. I agree with you on the orange thingy as well, it sticks out. Glad you enjoyed seeing it ;-) Last Edited by Thoughts Faux Fodder on 01/31/2011 10:30 AM Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune--without the words, And never stops at all.... Although I don't know why you couldn't astro turf if you wanted too. I always thought the owner did it because the house was old, probably needed maintenance and painting, so he just covered it with turf someone gave him--saves on maintenance! |
