Well, what are they going to do if they amputate a body part? Just sew it back on themselves? Or they break something? Just set it or let it heal in its broken state? There are some things good nutrition/vitamins just won't take care of. That is what insurance is for. But many today just can't afford it. And some insurance has such high deductibles it just doesn't pay to have it. So bankruptcy is most people's answer and they can only do that every 7 or so years if that. Whole lives can be ruined by one major accident.
