At one time I actually thought you were a serious person regarding God and the Holy scriptures. However, I have sadly come to realize that you are as confused and deluded as so many others here.

For you to even consider, let alone agree, with Harold Camping proves that you do not have a love for the Truth and you are not interested in serious Bible study.

Have you already worked out your excuses for why May 21st will come and go without a rapture, or are you so deceived into believing the lie that you will not make up an excuse until May 22?

If you do ever decide to do some genuine Bible study, you will be amazed to discover that the rapture is not Biblical and the majority of Harold Camping's theology (not just May 21) is completely against the True teachings of Christ.

I urge you to stop this foolishness and open your heart to Truth and begin studying the scriptures anew.

The Great Disappointment was a major event in the history of the Millerite movement, a 19th century American Christian sect that formed out of the Second Great Awakening. William Miller, a Baptist preacher, proposed based on his interpretations of the prophecies in the book of Daniel (Chapters 8 and 9, especially Dan. 8:14 "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed"), that Jesus Christ would return to the earth during the year 1844. A more specific date, that of October 22, 1844, was preached by Samuel S. Snow. 1. Is the term "rapture" found in the Bible?

Yes and no. It is not found in the English translation of the Bible (KJV), but it is derived from a Latin verb (rapere, to snatch, seize) which was used in the Latin Bible to translate the Greek verb "caught up" (harpaz) in 1 Thessalonians 4:17-- "Then we who are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP [raptured] together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." It is very interesting to see how this verb "caught up" is used in the New Testament. Study the following verses: Acts 8:39 ("caught away"), 2 Corinthians 12:2,4 ("caught up"), Revelation 12:5 ("caught up"); John 10:28-29 ("pluck out of"), etc.

It is perfectly clear that tares (people who believe they are saved)remain in darkness and the wheat (true believers)will know when their master will return.

The Bible claims there is a "remnant" chosen by grace before the foundation of the world,but yet! today there are "two billion" who claim to have a relationship with Christ,mostly in churches.Somethings not right here...

In most American towns you will have 5-10 churches within a 5 mile radius and yet they all have different doctrines to some degree (is there no absolute?)which one has the truth?
However,they "all" agree on one thing,Christ will come as a thief in the night,this alone should cause great concern..

We understand that if Christ comes to a thief to "anyone" they remain in darkness (loss).

May 21 2011 is going to be a horiffic shock to many,many people who believe they were of Christ...

With full respect I say,, sorry your Latin "harpaz" does not fit the Greek, caught up.

Paul spoke street Greek slang. The word "cloud" in 1 Thess. chapter 4 does not mean "people are flying up in the air like birds and or planes."
Cloud is street Greek slang word and Paul uses it in more than just a couple of places. Even Jude the half brother of Jesus uses' that street Greek word cloud.
Go read Heb. 21:1 There you will see Paul using the word "cloud" again and it means = large body of people, not flying to the heights of the clouds as most rapture teachers teach. Jude uses the word too in Jude 12 "Clouds they are without water." Clouds there again means = large body of people or large group of people. And the word "water" is not real water, but spiritual water from the thrown of God.
The word "air" in 1 thess. 4 does not mean "air that we breath". The word air there means "spiritual body" not flying in the air like a bird or a plane.

Paul had to rewrite to the Thess. because they had gotten confused over that subject from Paul's first letter to them. So Paul had to write them again, which is how the 2 Thess. book came about. Read 2 Thess. 2:1 to pick up on the "gathering back to Christ" then listen to the timing in the next several verses.
The falling away must happen first, and the man of sin revealed (Satan) and at the last trump (The 7th trump is the last trump). Christ comes at 777, and the man of sin Satan comes at 666.
This is why the whole world will be worshiping Satan when he comes because people are too lazy to study for themselves and put their souls in some humans hand.
We still today in the US use the word "cloud" in the same manner that Paul did.
We say "I say a cloud of locust".

And those things have NOT happened yet, so this is why I can say without a doubt that May 21, 2011 will go by and many will have broken hearts. Yes the deception is grand and the blind is leading the blind.

In Matthew 24, The Lord Jesus says the generation
that sees the re-birth of Israel will also be the
generation that witnesses His return.

In Psalm 90, Moses states that a generation is 70 years.

Israel was re-born in 1948.

Daniel's 70th week should begin in 2011.
