Are you giving up your desktops and laptops in favor of smartphone only internet browsing?

Lots dont go any further than facebook, a phone does that ok I guess.

Everyone I know who has a smartphone also has at least one laptop and at least one desktop. So no.

I haven't been on my desktop in over a year.

Home: Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo to netbook, through projector.

Mobile: Phone, unless I need a bigger screen and faster interface.

Future: When the resolution of the video out of the phone reaches 720p or better, and the CPU in the phone is fast enough to develop software, I will gladly leave the netbook behind and use nothing but the phone. My Nokia phone already has Bluetooth keyboard support, so I can plug it into my TV and surf the net from across the room.

In which case I tether the netbook to the phone for Internet access.

i gotta admit since getting my Nokia N900, i use my PC at least 50% less, but it is essentially a mini PC anyways, but no COD BO.

The N900 is a much better option than the I-phone too!

And to answer the OP, no. I haven't given up my desktop nor do I expect to. One day, I may indulge in a laptop/notebook.

I enjoy a monitor so large it wraps around into my peripheral vision. Why I have a 2/3rds wall projection system.

2011 is gonna be the year of the tablets....Ipad started it and everybody is playing catch up....in a few years I think its gonna replace most netbook/laptops.....

No way. I have smartphone but it's annoying having to move the page all over the place to read anything, and touch it again by mistake and it goes too small, so you're forever double touching to get it big again, and then it goes small again, and then you have to keep moving the screen and then you have to double touch it and aaaaarrggghhhh!!!!!!

Smartphones for on the go -igo with the iphone- yes, on the go can be a way of life,

Recently upgraded to the Droid X, smart phone. Google OS. Big Screen. Very nice. I prefer my laptop when it's available. iPad doesn't play 70% of all videos and there's not codex for it, apparently. Third choice, when I'm out on surveillance in my car, is then my smart phone for web browsing and video viewing.
