My son is almost 30 and he was circumsised. They did give him a light local at the time but if I had the choice to do it over again there is NO way I would let them do it to him. I agreed for I thought this was just the normal thing to do, it was what I was told, I was told he would be better off. My son cried, and hurt, and was in pain. If fully informed instead of a stupid young mother I would not have done that to him. The doctors need to let mothers know that there are other options and there is nothing wrong with leaving them intact, that it is normal, natural, better. We would never think of doing that to a baby girl so why to a baby boy?

Neither my 6 yr old or 3 yr old sons are circumsized. I couldnt bare to cut them in that way. Their dad isnt either so it wasnt a arguement.. they have never had a problem and I taught them to pull it back and clean it. I have to help the baby still cuse hes so little but my 6 yr old does just fine. I remember hearing a baby scream in the office from having it done. They were circumsizing him there and the screams were like nothing I heard come from a baby before. The most painful itense screaming and crying. I sat there in tears.. the whole office and waiting room could hear him clearly. I felt so damn bad. I couldnt never do that to my kids~
