Is God a Physicist ?
Is God a Physicist ?

is the name of an article in the March 2011 issue of Discover magazine.

Starting on page 50, is describes the quantum physics experiments
that have been conducted to answer that question and also other questions.

"Is there any concrete evidence of God's hand at work in the physical world?"

Some quotes from the article:

"These results have intriguing philosophical implications, he notes, especially for the spiritually inclined."

"There is strong experimental evidence for accepting that nonmaterial beings act in the world".

" ... tests conducted with real photons in the lab suggest that quantum effects must be caused by
"influences that originate from outside of space-time."

Ahhhh Duhhhh ! I could of told them that.
Just read and understand Rev chapter 1 verse 8, for it is is physics statement.

So I am off to open up a snack bar for the world's athiests.

All kinds of felt hats to choose from, and many different kinds of crow pies to bake.

p.s. The physics could be a neat topic for the chat room.

I think that God would like it, if this could be pinned for a while.

Re: Is God a Physicist ?
I am a scientist/engineer/geek. Many with such backgrounds are atheists. I don't see any conflict at all. There is such beauty in how things are setup in the Quantum world. The universe is designed for and encourages life. Consciousness relies on quantum effects. Ice floats when it freezes and is a building block of life - this protects living things and broadens the range of possible environments. Even the great distances to other solar systems is deliberate. Less war and taking from "inferior" civilizations until more knowledge and technical capability comes with maturity.

This is an awesome video on God/quantum mechanics you might like.
I hope I linked it correctly.

Re: Is God a Physicist ?
Nothing exists, we are only light, compressed light. There is nothing of any existence but energy and thought. Compressed energy creates thought or is it that compressed thought creates energy... no matter how deep we have gone, we have never been able to reach or see anything that exists. So, why are we here?
^^ gravity is a harsh reality. ^^

Yeah, try to imagine an electron staying in orbit around a proton by mere accident.
