Ever tried a raw food diet to lose weight?

I tried it for a year and I agree, it's really hard to sustain. You have to eat lots of bananas, avocados and nuts to stay full. I lost weight and had a glow. I was asked a lot to make appearances at raves.
One thing, though now I eat normally I still would rather have a raw piece of fruit rather than desert and sometimes I just have salad and fruit for lunch.
The diet makes you realise what a lot of crap it is, (the normal diet) that we are brainwashed in to eating.
