Big surge of new members since the downtime. Any ideas why?

Interesting way of wording it. But I do agree it is interesting that all of a sudden there is a spike in new membership.

One reason being many other conspiracy related sites were featuring stories on the downtime.

Methinks the free upgrade offer. Lots of ACs signed up.

Hopefully some of the new people have something to contribute and its not just more of the same DOOOOOOOOM worshippers.

Could be the downtime piqued their curiosity and they decided to head over. Thats kinda what I did when I first heard about GLP over at ATS (was mentioned in a thread and I came over).
