Anonymous Coward User ID: 1262139 United States 02/11/2011 03:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's a wet moon and typically like that in the winter because the earth is tilted away from the sun. Quoting: Prisoner of TechnologyIf it is still a horizontal crescent in the summer we know we have a problem. NO, no , no. I have lived 46 years, and the moon has NEVER been in that position. If it had been normal, I never would have even noticed it. I took video of the moon last night . Yes moon was shining a crescent shape on the bottom, strange was the sunset , which set in the southwest and the moon was a bit north west ,so how did the moon glow if the sun was farther south and moon was north? Strange the moon was pulsing and changed it's size . I have video of moon that appears to have an object shining behind the moon. |

There been so much going on I forgot the way it hangs!!! maybe looked like opposite sides? I saw it last night, didn't focus on it.... it was straight up = looking up. so i couldn't tell if it was upside down, side ways, hanging backwards, or opposite sides..:) |

Quoting: ceawavesExactly the way it is predicted to hang, as seen by an observer. None of the people claiming something is wrong were comparing it to a software program. Roughly, at the same time each day, it is in a different position by about 13 degrees. In just a few days it can very well be on the "opposites side of the damn sky". As for the sun, it is also exactly where it is supposed to be. Thousands of people look at the sun and moon every day and yet a few people on a backwater forum know better? Eclipses and transits predicted decades before still happen exactly as predicted. Stonehenge and similar structures still work. Computerized telescopes still work. Explain those. |

The lit side of the moon (reflecting sphere) WILL ALWAYS 'point' to the Sun (light emitting sphere). Irrespective of Moon or Sun's position in the sky. (East or West). Can this be misunderstood? |
