"I was in the basement watching a movie with my granddaughter," Dalrymple said. "All I felt was like a suction and a big boom and I ran upstairs and here my front door was blown open."

After fleeing his house in temperatures below freezing he said he saw flames coming from the second story of the row home that had been attached to the destroyed home.

"We are just assuming it was a gas explosion because the house is not even there. It's gone," he said.

Wow...that's actually very intriguing since the people didn't seem to truly know what happened.

Neighbor's front door 'blown open'
About 750 residents were being evacuated by buses to the Ag Center at the Allentown Fairgrounds. More than 500 seniors from the Gross Towers complex were among the evacuees, although some were reluctant to leave.

The Arthritis Foundation building was badly damaged, firefighters said.

PPL Electric Utilities shut down power in the area.

The cause of the blast was not determined immediately but at least one neighbor suspected a gas explosion.

Dale Dalrymple told the Lehigh Valley Express-Times he lives directly across the street from the destroyed home in the 500 block of North 13th Street.

Apparently this is still burning....8 houses were engulfed....they can't get the gas leak stopped as of 2:53 A.M.

They may close the elementary school nearby.

These gas explosions seem to be happening more often.

Don't know....is PHEN from that area too?

NO official cause yet.

They have all fire trucks in the city fighting this and some from surrounding
municipalities.

Looks like the Earth is changing and underground areas are being perturbed. I feel this is going to happen more and more. Volcanoes are being woke up due to the stress on their core underground. We are really in the time of changes.
