Not selling enough food is a heinous crime deserving of physical violence or the threat there of at least. You should feel lucky they were there to protect you.

I imagine you got a cheap liquor license as a restaurant to save cash. Since restaurant liquor licenses sell for a sixth that bars do. Insurance is cheaper too. My guess was that you were audited by liquor board for complaints and they found you out. you got spanked after you broke the rules now your mad.

With a restaurant/bar license, apparently there is a requirement to have a certain percentage of your income from food. I think it was %65.

The sheriffs raided because they didn't believe we sold enough food for the license.

They bum rushed the place with seriously almost 30 of them. Like we were a meth lab or something.

No courtesy, just acting like we were all criminals.

Everyone was searched and lined up along the wall, some of us cuffed.

The owner got a citation and a notice to appear.

I left when they stopped harassing me, dunno what happened after I left.

I'll bet good money that this bar you work at is NOT a big time chain that we see advertising on TV. Rather I'll bet it is a locally owned business. The kind of business where the owner is not 'connected' to the local cocksuckers who run the local govt.

They would not do that here to a mere employee for the owner not complying with liquor license regs.
Seems in America they take away your freedom first (hand cuff you) before they even speak to you.
Here they will only cuff a violent offender for shop lifting you are not getting cuffed.

shit like this happens all the time, i would never open a small business in america anymore, all the red tape to cut thru and they will raid for the slightest small thing, i saw on the news some business got raided for not paying a $17 insurance tax, and they actually paid it, but the company they had doing their taxes failed to send it in, so they got raided and the feds siezed all the company assetts land, building, everything.

I'm a bit disappointed on how I acted.

I was so taken back by 3-5 of them swooping in on me at once.

I didn't resist as much as I should have. I told him that I didn't give permission to search my wallet, but he ignored me.
