An Athiest never killed ... for a god.
The god the athiest kills for is him/her self.

Re: An Athiest never killed ... for a god.
It means that when an Athiest kills, he/she accepts that they are solely responsible for their actions unlike many crusading god worshipping zealots.

Bush has stated publicly that God supports his war in Iraq, he is blaming god for his crimes.

If Athiests dislike a person or want someone elses property they have no book telling them it is OK to steal or murder as they are special and just doing Gods work. Athiests must accept that when they murder they become murderers not crusaders, when they steal like Israels Jews and Americas christians do they recognise themselves as thieves and not chosen ones doing gods bidding.

There is no such thing as an athiest, okyes they pretend they dont beleive in god, however on the last days of their lives, its funny how many suddenly start blowing whistles and repenting isnt it

Iīm sure atheists are quite capable of just blaming other people or saying that they are fighting for a cause, which is no different than saying they are doing it for god, is it?

As an AthEIst I would never kill for a god but, as an AthEIst I would kill for the right to not believe in a god.

Deep deep down there is nobody who is athiest.

When someone declares "I am an Athiest" itīs the same as an alcoholic who believes they do not have a drinking problem.
Athiests are delusional.

Re: An Athiest never killed ... for a god.
Atheism is a "lack of belief in god" and nothing more. No one can know there is no god for the same reason that no one can know there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, unicorn, or other such creature. Some may say that we can know that there is none of the above since we can trace through history where these characters were created and that the ideas about them have changed over the centuries. The same can also be said of god (except the history of god goes back a bit farther so it is more difficult to track with certainty) but for this arguments sake, letīs say that such creatures, although there is a strong probability that they are fictional, can not be 100% positively proven unreal for the basic reason that the entire universe would need to be explored to positively assert the non-existence of such a hypothetical being.

If the theist attempts to define their god however, that specific god can be disproven through the use of logic and reason. In these cases, an atheist can accurately state that they know that the god described does not exist.

6012 - Your statement would seem to imply that Atheist have no morals. However, Atheists have morals because humans learn moral lessons based on observation and an understanding of human nature. The scriptures of a religious tome are not necessary. An atheist reasons and considers the consequences of his actions for all his actions.

Morality is one of the features of all of humanity, so therefore morals donīt just exist in the religious realm. Atheists can realize the beauty of humanity, and learn not to battle with it.

What it all comes down in the end is the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

The Bible calls the god of this world/system Satan. Almighty God our Creator has nothing to do with the wars and evil going on on this earth. Satan and humans that follow him(Satan) are responsible.

Atheists have killed numerous thousands of people over the millinea, usually in rogue fashion...so since they donīt do it as an organized group, itīs hard to keep track.

"Atheist sure do like to build those atomic weapons though huh?"

Before the Hiroshima and Nagasaki raids, some of the scientists involved in the Manhattan Project had pleaded with President Harry S Truman not to turn their invention loose.

"The success which we have achieved in the development of nuclear power is fraught with infinitely greater dangers than were all the inventions of the past," they wrote in the "Franck Report", signed by seven scientists.

The group urged Truman to lay on a demonstration of the bombīs awful power to scare Japan into surrendering, thereby saving tens of thousands of lives.

However, Truman a Baptist adherent, signed the order. So, unfortunately, it could be said that the Christians are responsible for us all having to confront the modern threat from nuclear proliferation, and fears terrorists could one day threaten a US city with a rudimentary nuclear device.

Not believing in a god doesnīt mean you donīt have other equally valid beliefs.
