He's talking about Betelguise. It's set to go supernova any second. When it does we will in essence have a second sun, no nighttime for several weeks.

I am unemployed so yea I wouldn't go to work... :D
The Truth About Thread: The FINAL EVENTS Of Bible Prophecy

"We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist." - Martin Luther (Aug. 18, 1520)

"While God has given ample evidence for faith, He will never remove all excuse for unbelief. All who look for hooks to hang their doubts upon will find them. And those who refuse to accept and obey God's Word until every objection has been removed, and there is no longer an opportunity for doubt, will never come to the light" (The Great Controversy, p. 527).

"Jesus did not come to change the law, but he came to explain it, and that very fact shows that it remains, for there is no need to explain that which is abrogated." - Charles Spurgeon

"Jesuit Adam Weishaupt established the modern version of the Illuminati specifically to be a front organization behind which the Jesuits could hide. After being formally abolished by Pope Clement XIV in 1773, the Jesuits used the Illuminati and other organizations to carry out their operations. Thus, the front organizations would be blamed for the trouble caused by the Jesuits."

Depends. Was it extra-galactic? In that case yes, I'd go to work the next day. If it was intra-galactic, then I'd probably take the next day off and just keep shooting it with every camera at my disposal.

When Betelgeuse goes I think most people will be in absolute shock and few will go to work.

I mentioned it to friends who actually laughed and thought I was joking. They think anything that big would be such big news if true and none of them had heard about it.

So I think inter or outer galatic won't mean anything to them but suddenly seeing two suns will have them under the covers!

Oh i should have mentioned number 1. that it is not our sun im talking about. And number 2. that it would have no harmful effects what so ever on any form of life in the world. Just a visual. That is all.

Like the guy said earlier, the destruction caused by a supernova travels at close enough to the speed of light that we'd learn about it and be destroyed by it at the same moment.

If it was close enough to be visible but not close enough to do any damage then yeah, I'd go to work as normal. Not all of us can take time off to look at pretty lights :p

I think they would.

We'd see an explanation in the morning news that 2 suns are totally normal, it is called "(put any Latin word here)" and it has been there many times before. Also a Wiki article would show up with a date of 1978 about the phenomenon.

Yep..they would blame it all on "Fireworks"....or global warming..and try to make a buck out of it by passing a supernova tax...

Interesting comments. Some probably true. But we'll see. Maybe it will be so stunning at even the governments that come up with propaganda will be too stunned also to do anything.

but we'll see.

Well, since Betelguise is 640 light years away, it may (or may not) have gone supernova already.

If you don't love your job then you're doing it wrong...However, If I was certain that it would end life then I'd stay home with the kids...
