Now hold that for 5 seconds and do this for about 10 reps 3-4 times a day or as much as you are comfortable with. Within a week or so you should notice a change. This worked for me and have never had a problem since. I had it on both feet, waking up in the morning is the worst. Good luck. |

Both can be relieved with rest, supportive shock absorbing shoes or shoe inserts, stretching exercises, and losing weight also helps. Personally I found a foot soak in apple cider vinegar to be most helpful. I that doesn't do it there are splints to wear when you sleep that will keep your foot bent at the correct angle and also cortisone injections (which sound pretty painful and prolly make you forget the original pain). |

I mean, maybe it's just evolution telling you to ride a horse vs. drive a car--lol. (sorry about making sport of your pain, I just couldn't resist. But really, maybe take a look at Web MD and see what they say.) :-) |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1172642 United States 02/10/2011 07:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have one in my left foot. I had the cortizone injections, it helped for about a week and you can only have so many in a years time. The only thing that ever really helped me was a pair of custom fit orthopedic insoles. Cost me around three hundred for them but it was worth it. They are designed to create an artificial arch as I have low arches. And are made of steel so there is no flex. After wearing them every day for about six months, I can tell a big difference. Hope this helps. And yes they DO hurt. |
