perhaps your standard of what a good friend is may be too high?

there are plenty of people out there to make connections with. you just may not be looking in the right places.

also - do you spend a lot of time online, especially on things such as facebook/twitter? if so, chances are you are too alienated from the outside world to really even give yourself time for friends. go out and get some fresh air! making friends starts outside the home. once you get friends, then you can play all the PS3 you want with them and watch DVDs til the cows come home.
