No way a deer could get mad cow.. the reason cows got it was becasue they are forced to eat their own..
Wild deer would not do this...

The program, which was designed to reduce an overpopulation of deer in some preserves, will now help the state determine if Chronic Wasting Disease has spread to Will County deer. Each deer that is killed in the culling program, which started Tuesday, must be tested for CWD, said Marcy DeMauro, the district’s executive director. Brain tissue from each deer must be extracted by district employees and sent to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The disease has been found in 32 Illinois deer since July 1.
