Hi, Rich Strong ! Is that a smell that emulates from your direction ? Just saying/curious .....
TPTB can't have everyone dying off TOO quickly; might raise suspessions, don't you know ? That's why some 'long term' ones fit in nicely. Besides, ANYTHING to cut costs and HIDE food shortages already beging to appear AND to intensify !
Anyone have any tips on how to tell if the deer one kills have the disease, other than lab testing ???

They do test it sporadically on deer during deer season here. It's hard to tell what deer have it unless it is in the late stages of the disease.
