The pharmacutical companies are obviously as powerful in the UK as in America.

In America ObamaCare is now only allowing the use of Health Savings Account money (pre-tax money set aside for medical expenses not covered by insurance) for doctor proscribed drugs. You can no longer use them for herbal medicines. Thank you Obama and Big Pharma!

Indeed it is. The herbal toothpaste I used to buy has already disappeared. When I asked for it in the store, they told me one of the herbal ingredients was banned, and applying for having it unbanned would have cost the company that made it more than what they sell for in a hundred years...
