We used to listen to lot of electronic dance music (house, techno, trance, EBM...) and more forms of rock music (hard rock and various forms of heavy metal) while my wife was pregnant, so my son listend to that kind of music while he was not born yet. That is why I think he likes those styles of music. We tried to introduce him to children's songs and classical music, but to little or no avail. Children's songs interest him a little, and he appsolutely loathes most of classical music for now. :D

He did seam to respond well to some classic composers. I tried some chosen works from Wagner, Grieg and Ravel and he seamed not to mind listening to at least some of their music. The wife tried Tchaikovsky and Mozzart and he said that their music was trash. He said something like: "I do not want to listen to this trash.":D The wife is blaming me for his musical taste :p
