He's kinda right. I FUCKING LOVED Duke Nukem 3D when I was 13. I am now 26. As I have gotten older, I have learned MUCH about the world and my place in it. The unfortunate thing about acquiring knowledge is that it is inseparable from responsibility. I now have a persistent, unshakable, nagging feeling of RESPONSIBILITY.

This ever-present feeling TOTALLY prevents me from having any fun playing video games anymore. Instead, I just feel guilty for wasting time, as if my life is just slipping away. It's like a part of me is dying while I'm just sitting here blasting fictitious aliens and ogling CG boobs.

It's an ILLUSION. A GAME. I am no longer able to "lose myself" in the flashy lights and cool sound effects the way I could back in the day. I wish I could. Seriously.

2K Games and Gearbox Software put out Borderlands in 2009. That is a great game, I'm hooked
