Why do people wait until it's going UP to buy more? Wouldn't it make a whole lot more sense to buy when it's gone DOWN?

There should be some good info from Andrew Maguire within the next 10 days as well. For those that dont know Maguire is a gold mine of accurate inside info regarding the metal manipulation on the COMEX.

Yes, to most sane people it would make sense to "buy low, sell high" but in the bizarro-world of a silvertard, the metal is still "cheap" because they actually think it "should be" a couple hundred an ounce...

...if only the damn "jew banksters" would stop manipulating the price, or something.

That said, I do own silver, and am holding for the very long term. It would still make sense for a guy like me to add some at these levels, since due to cost-averaging my cost per ounce would be somewhat lower due to my existing ounces being bought much lower levels.

I don't think that I would *start* buying at this price though. The inflated PM prices are all based on largely unfounded fears at this point in time.

Same here, brother...same here. It's not the metal, it's the 'money'. When lawful currency is established, hedging against inflation should no longer be an issue.

Gold and silver look toppy here today. I will believe that the current correction is over with a run at and through $1400 in gold, but not before then. Without that, we are just in a bounce leading to further correction, with maybe $1280 in the cards for gold. Silver looks wonderful today, but silver isn't the leader in this game. It is probably the better investment of the two, but not the metals that leads the moves. Quite the opposite in fact. Silver usually overshoots gold at each top.
